ABOUT THE JOB
What will you be doing?
Banquet servers and catering event staff are roaming non-standard waiters and waitresses. In a typical restaurant setting, the wait staff will have tables they are assigned to cover, but Banquet servers are responsible for accommodating all guests at a function while circulating the room.
Some of the duties required are:
- Preparing and laying of tables
- Preparing and stocking of the bar
- Waiting on tables
- Dispensing drinks at the bar
- Serving the drinks at the table
- Clearing tables
- General tidy-up during and at the end of the event
- Cooking/food prep (kitchen workers only)
Corporate events & functions support roles include:
- Events general assistance
- Hotel restaurant waiting
- Cocktail and event bar
- Chefs
- Kitchen Hand
- Events cloakroom
- Awards show bar & waiting
- Event afterparty bar & waiting
- Event set up & clean up grew
Experience Necessary:
- Passion for providing outstanding guest services
- Being physically fit is an advantage
- Fluent English proficiency
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills
WHAT TO EXPECT
Program Details
- Start Dates: All year round
- £8 per hour (including holiday pay)
- Meals: Event staff will receive their meals free during shifts
- Accommodation: Off-site accommodation starting from £85 per week all bills included
- Uniforms: All event staff will receive discounted rates for work clothes
- Shifts: Tuesday – Friday 3 day weekends! who can ask for more than that!
- Length 4 -14 hours per shift
