Volunteer Free with Cheetah Outreach in South Africa

Operating from our home in the Western Cape of South Africa, we provide a tourism, visitor-based opportunity as well as hosting on-site curriculum-linked educational activities for learners and teachers.

The primary goal of our volunteers is to communicate the Cheetah Outreach conservation message to guests at the facility through daily guided tours and assisting with cheetah and small animal encounters.

Volunteers are given the opportunity to become more involved with the animals on site as they progress through the programme.

No experience with animals or conservation work is necessary as full training is given. For those headed in that direction, Cheetah Outreach will provide great work and study experience. Whether you’re travelling through South Africa, applying to veterinary school, or simply a life-long animal lover looking to fill up your weekends, the diverse background of Cheetah Outreach volunteers plays a large part in creating a unique and spirited work environment.

Cheetah Outreach relies heavily on its international and local volunteer programme to run our Somerset West facility and to communicate the Cheetah Outreach conservation message to our guests.
